Contraindicated and Non-Recommended Injection Areas
According to U.S. FDA guidelines, international clinical recommendations, and official information from Merz, Radiesse is not recommended for use in the following areas:
- Lips: Radiesse is not suitable for lip augmentation
- Periorbital area: including tear troughs, lower eyelids, upper eyelids, and the orbital region due to thin skin and dense vascular structures
- Nasal contouring: considered off-label in some countries and not routinely recommended
The following areas are also not recommended for routine injection:
